Focus AudienceWhat type of clients do you primarily work with currently or would like to attract (specific age, gender, sexual orientation, lifestyle, etc.)? Please list/explain.*2. Approach/Philosophy Understanding your therapy approach and philosophy helps us to avoid including aspects into blog posts we may later need to edit out. We’d much rather provide you with a well-crafted blog post the first time through.Do you have a particular treatment approach or philosophy (i.e. holistic, somatic, spiritual, Christian, etc.)? Please explain.*Do you practice specific therapy types/treatment models? Are there any modalities you do not use or don’t want mentioned in your blog posts (i.e. CBT, EMDR, DBT, EFT, group therapy, etc.)? Please list sources/names or include website links.*Do you have any specific viewpoints you hold or areas in which your treatment approach differs from the mainstream?*(For example, you may help couples part ways amicably if that’s what they want rather than trying to convince them to stay married.) PLANNING FOR YOUR SPECIALTY PAGESThe questions in this section pertain to the specialty page(s) you just ordered. If a question does not apply to your type of business/practice, please put N/A. Writing Process Basics: Typically, we write one page at a time, with a general time frame of about 2 weeks for each page (from interview to completed version). Prior to writing, we will send you questionnaires for all pages in your order so you can provide us with details about the specific topic. Once we receive all questionnaires, we assign a writer. He/She will then set up a phone interview (max 30-45 min) with you for each page to discuss its tone and content. 1. Contact and Interview PreferencesWho will provide the answers to the information we need for customizing your page content for this order? Please select all that apply.*Note: The person filling out the page questionnaire(s) should also be the one who does the interview(s) with the writer so that we can prevent inconsistencies. Self Other therapist(s) Please provide the name(s), email(s), and phone #(s) of the other therapist(s) with whom the writer needs to make contact.*IMPORTANT: If more than one therapist needs to provide input for a specific page, please appoint one contact person that can speak for the group during the interview and revision phase. It slows the process significantly when there are too many voices giving input/feedback to the writer. If you could have an interview for two pages at the same time (max 60 min), would you be interested in that?*Note: Please be aware that setting up an interview for two pages simultaneously does not automatically mean we will write both pages at the same time. Combining interviews is a means to save you time by cutting down on scheduling interviews when you have multiple pages. (For new clients, we always work on a single page all the way through to the final version first to assure satisfaction before we begin writing other pages.) Yes, I’m interested in combining interviews for some of my specialty pages. No, I would rather do one interview for each page at a time. I only ordered one page. 2. Marketing and SEO The answers to the following questions will help us with keyword research and SEO implementation for page content. Are we marketing you, your therapist, or your entire practice?* Me One of my therapists My practice Do you provide in-person/in-office or online services for any of the specialties in this order?*If you choose “other,” please explain. If you choose “no preference” for any of them, we’ll use what we think is best while maintaining a professional tone.Have you previously filled out the Writing Style Guide?* Yes, I have previously provided answers for my style preferences. Although I have provided answers for my style preferences previously, I would like to make new inputs for this order. No, I have not yet provided answers for my style preferences. 1. Writing Style Preferences Writing style choices relate to the voice/tone you would like to project.Do you favor a more clinical or more conversational tone for your content?* More clinical More conversational A middle ground between the two No preference Which forms of address would you like us to use? Please, select all that apply.*Note: For specialty pages, we typically write using first and second person. We do NOT recommend third person for specialty pages as their effectiveness is largely driven by their content being relatable. First person (we/our/I/my) Second person (you/your) Third person (they/their) Do you prefer evidence-based/factual writing or more personable/empathic expressions?*Note: Evidence-based writing can still be personable, and empathic writing can include evidence-based content. If you want a more even mix, select “a mix of both.” Evidence-based/factual Personable/empathic A mix of both No preference 2. Grammar Preferences Grammatical choices have to do with the technical aspect of writing.May we use contractions when writing for you?*Note: Some examples of contractions we may use are: isn’t (instead of is not), you’re (instead of you are), or we’ll (instead of we will). Yes No No preference Would you like to use the Oxford comma (serial comma)?*Note: The serial comma is the final comma in a list of things, before “and” or “or.” Example: “Our practice utilizes CBT, DBT, and EMDR modalities.” Yes No No preference 3. Other Preferences Do you want us to utilize a mainly secular approach when writing or would you like us to include spiritual aspects?* Use a secular approach only Include spiritual aspects – spirituality informs my therapy approach Include spiritual aspects – spirituality is important to many of my clients No preference Are there any unique writing preferences you want us to use?* (For example, you may dislike starting sentences with a transition word, or maybe you always spell “weight loss” with a hyphen—weight-loss. If you have no preference, we’ll primarily abide by the AP style guide.)Are there any industry terms you DON’T want us to use?*(For example, you might not want to use words like “diagnosis” or “patient.” Or you don’t like saying “addictions” because you see it as “behaviors.”) Thank you for taking the time to complete this form!We value your input and are looking forward to working with you!
